Senior Manager, Manufacturing Huntsville, AL
Responsibilities:
- Motivate, support and provide guidance to production and maintenance staff
- Ensure all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization 100% accident-free
- Communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
- Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
- Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
- Set productivity goals for each manufacturing team
- Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
- Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
- Identify growth opportunities, both financially and operationally
- Hold daily and weekly meetings with Supervisors and key staff
- Perform periodic reviews and development opportunities relating to Supervisors and key personnel
- Assist subordinates with disciplinary matters as needed
- Ensure all production targets are met or exceeded
- Ensure root cause of issues and solutions are implemented to reduce maintenance work orders and repeat issues
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma concepts, 5S and good housekeeping practices to ensure efficient flow and minimum waste
- Champion cost control to ensure plant spending remains at or below established budget levels
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Strong Preference for Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
- 8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing
- 5-7 years of experience in Leadership
- Strong communication skills and experience in change management
- Demonstrated experience in driving cultural change by leading continuous improvement and large projects
Experience leading a 24/7/365 continuous process operation preferred
