Job Description: The Director, Tax Equity Analysis leads the financial analysis activities of managing BHE B's and BHE Renewables' tax equity portfolio to support consent requests, financial reporting, financial planning, and portfolio optimization. These activities include, but are not limited to, maintaining financial models, forecasting, budgeting, financial and market analysis, valuations, deal and contract structuring, due diligence and research. This position will collaborate with the Sr Leaders of Finance and other senior leadership to identify and analyze opportunities to maximize portfolio performance, such as acquisitions, dispositions or restructures. Additionally, this position will lead due diligence and other transaction related activities. Responsibilities:
Direct the tax equity modeling team core functions and responsibilities
Lead the establishment and maintenance of tax equity financial models, analysis processes and controls that support forecasting future project and investment performance, establishment of budgets and portfolio management decisions
Coordinate analysis, communication, reviews and recommendations among internal and external stakeholders
Provide technical financial expertise and recommendations, including the review and structuring of acquisitions, dispositions, restructures and consent requests
Develop standard reporting and risk analysis for each tax equity investment to properly forecast future performance
Lead due diligence and technical reviews
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration or accounting.
Chartered Financial Analyst or Certified Public Accountant certification preferred.
MBA - advanced business degree preferred.
8 years of Financial Modeling experience,
6 years of experience Tax Equity Modeling with the hypothetical liquidation at book value (HLBV) reporting method
Three years of supervisory/management responsibilities.
Extensive knowledge of tax equity modeling and analysis, including return on investment, forecasting, buy-out and HLBV calculations as well as knowledge of federal partnership tax rules and the renewable energy industry.
Extensive interaction with company personnel and outside consultants.
Superior oral and written communications skills, including presentation skills.
Effective, proven interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Project management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
