Responsibilities:

In support of the Acquisition Property & Audit (APA) Division, we are seeking a Government Property/Finance Specialist II with experience in supporting property management in accordance with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) methodology.

The specific responsibilities and tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Under limited supervision, assist in conducting property accountability, visibility, and auditability (PAV-A) and Property Transfer in accordance with FIAR policies and procedures, maintaining records for government property, and managing internal controls upon receipt, delivery or acceptance of government property in accordance with DoD and Marine Corps policies.

• Conduct planning and execution of property and financial management to include data input, records management, adhering to policies, workforce education, and best practices.

• Facilitate Government Property loan process, ensuring form completions for Government Furnished Property (GFP)/Loan/Bailments, and review GFP/Loan/Bailment requirements

• Facilitate the accounting of current and historical Capital Asset expenses utilizing Key Supporting Documents (KSDs) to include Contracts, MIPRs, and MFRs, reviewing these for accuracy and responding with what changes or documents are needed to be audit compliant.

• Maintain, analyze, and report on a variety of activities related to all elements of GFP, Property Transfers, and Military Equipment Valuation (MEV).

• Use the Defense Property Accounting System (DPAS), Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), PIEE, TFSMS, and associated data system tools to update and analyze supply and maintenance data.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred. Desired minimum of six (6) years’ experience in USMC supply or property accountability using DPAS and GCSS-MC The ideal candidate will be familiar with acquisition finance and FIAR methodology.

Specific/Preferred Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Command Access Card (CAC)

• Understanding of DPAS is a must

• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills strongly desired
