Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Mid-Level or Experienced (Level 3 or 4) Project Management Specialist to join the P-8A Program Team located in Kent, WA.
This position will focus on supporting the P-8A Development Program. This role's responsibilities will span across multiple high visibility projects such as Increment 3 Block 2 Platform Integration, Advanced Survivability Pod, and IDIQ Software Sustainment programs, to name a few. This role will work closely with software and systems engineering teams to support the planning of projects, monitoring, and driving project progress while ensuring roadblocks are removed, and risks are mitigated.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the development of the program architecture and top-level plans for a program
Facilitates the resolution of program issues
Supports the program manager in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics
Integrates the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices
Implements customer and program communication and contact plans
Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project
This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent work experience
Experience with JIRA Software projects and Kanban Boards
3+ years of years of experience in leading both governance and delivery programs/projects in various Program Management Lifecycle (PMLC), transformation and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Six Sigma)
Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
3+ years of experience utilizing data visualization tools including excel and/or Tableau
Strong financial- and analytical skills
3+ years of experience developing & supporting project plans through the full project lifecycle
Experience with leading proposal development in cross functional teams
5+ years of experience leading others and advising business unit projects showing strength in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry
The individual must be hardworking and hands on in their approach and possess strong written and oral communication skills
Strong, independent leader, who is a self-starter and a proven teammate in a high achievement-oriented environment
Flexibility and responsiveness in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environment
Experience providing briefings to senior and/or executive level management
Experience with RIO (Risk, Issues, and Opportunities) in project planning and implementation
Experience working with systems/software engineering and/or product support teams is desired
Active Secret Clearance is preferred
Typical Education/Experience:
Mid-Level (Level 3)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
Senior (Level 4)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
