Responsibilities

This is a year round internship open to Las Vegas area students that will commence immediately and run through Spring 2026.

When applying, you must attach a transcript providing proof of at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA for consideration.

The NV Energy Internship program is designed to ensure that it will challenge interns with meaningful work, expose them to a career in the energy industry, and help them transition from academics to the workforce. Successful completion of a Company internship can put an intern on the fast track to a full-time career with NV Energy following graduation.

The Demand Side Management Department (DSM) is seeking an undergraduate student to support outreach, education, and marketing of DSM and CE programs.

Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • Support education and outreach events & presentations
  • Manage and create education and outreach collateral.
  • Track data and create reports.
  • Engage with other program managers and support their outreach efforts.

Extensive outreach to garner program participation and assist in customer satisfaction improvement plan.

Requirements

This year-round internship opportunity is open to Las Vegas area undergraduate students currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Hospitality/Event Planning, or Education:

  • Microsoft Office experience in Word, Excel & PowerPoint is required.
  • Previous work experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
  • Demonstrates leadership, organization, interpersonal and effective communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week (including some evening, holiday and weekend events).

To be eligible for employment as an intern, a student must:

  • Submit an NV Energy Employment Application with resume and transcript.
  • Be enrolled in the number of credit hours equal to full time status at an accredited college or university.
  • Maintain a grade point average of 2.75 cumulative or above.

Compensation

$15 to $21 per hour. This is a non-represented position.
