Responsibilities

Basic Purpose

Responsible for the planning, execution and finalization of assigned transmission construction projects in accordance with performance, budget and timing requirements including utilization of resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contracts or consultants. Defines project objectives, oversees quality control, manages change orders and negotiate contract terms throughout its life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Directs and manages projects from beginning to end:

  • Sets and manages project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Defines project scope, goal and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Tracks project milestones and deliverables.
  • Manages changes in project scope, identifies potential crises, and devises contingency plans.
  • Builds, develops, and grows any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to position and company.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field and 10 or more years of related experience.

Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 14 years of related work experience.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated knowledge of:

• Utility business, construction, and industry practices.

Demonstrated skill such as:

• Ability to develop effective relationships.

• Excellent negotiation, critical thinking, project management, communication, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.

Equipment and Applications

PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

General office environment. No special physical demands required. Occasional travel required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $129,800.00 (Min) to $152,700.00 (Mid); Up to 20% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
