Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is working with a client who is hiring an Operational Technology Engineer. Candidates should bring subject matter expertise in at least one IT discipline (LAN/WAN route/switch, information security, server administration/compute, storage, virtualization, etc.), with skills in multiple additional disciplines (technical depth and breadth), including Operational Technologies (DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, etc.) and in-depth experience with either networking or system administration.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ITIL Foundation certification preferred


• Understanding of routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP


• Proficient in SDWAN and associated technologies


• Advanced understanding of network monitoring and analysis tools: Solarwinds and, Wireshark


• Extensive experience managing and maintaining physical and virtual servers, with proficiency in virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V


• Deep knowledge of Windows Server OS installation, configuration, and administration


• Proficient in Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting. Experienced with DHCP, DNS, IIS, and file/print services


• Strong understanding of Platform management tools like server administration/compute, storage, network, and the role OT plays in keeping Operations running


• Preferred background in OT environment


• Solid understanding of networking and firewall concepts and cybersecurity standards and trends


• Strong background in TCP/IP, subnets, VLANs, and routing


• Experienced in configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls


• Knowledgeable in VPNs, network segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention


• Skilled in analyzing network traffic, diagnosing connectivity issues, and optimizing performance

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
