The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Administrative Assistant to work in Miami, FL.
Core Responsibilities:
Provides administrative support for multiple programs and projects.
Completes assignments requiring the collection, and organization of data; may provide analysis.
Monitors, reconciles, and assists with fiscal administration for the department, including but not limited to budgets, funding, grants, contracts, payroll, employment, travel and/or purchasing.
Serves as a primary information resource regarding department and program policies, procedures, and operational functions.
May lead the work assignment of student workers and temporaries.
Maintains calendar, types, provides routine and general clerical support or medical-related support which may include patient care, student service, reports, and statistics.
Answers telephones, takes messages, answers routine questions, and transfers calls to appropriate individuals.
Greets visitors and callers, handles their inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
Orders office supplies.
Composes correspondence or selects standardized formats.
Prepares financial forms (IDRs, BEFs, Pos, work orders, check requisitions, etc for department).
May provide ancillary support to physicians, clinical activities, business services, student services, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Core Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Three (3) to Five (5) years of progressive related experience.
Knowledge of routine office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of simple data processing and transmission principles.
Ability to utilize computerized information systems.
Ability to read and decipher data on source documents to be entered.
Ability to enter and verify information with accuracy and a reasonable rate of speed.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Skill in data entry or typing
Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.
