The Research Senior Technician will conduct independent studies and assist with the design and implementation of funded laboratory projects. These studies will involve yeast genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, microscopy, and image processing and analysis. May coordinate, influence, or review the work of others which could include oversight of undergraduate students. Will perform statistical analyses and prepare final research reports and scientific manuscripts. The Research Senior Technician will perform administrative duties that include responding to requests for scientific materials and maintaining lab stock repositories.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Two years of relevant experience. Desired: Bachelor's degree in any STEM area, preferably in biology, chemistry, or computer science. Experience with Research Technician work (assisting with experiments in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related area).

The pay range for this job profile is $17.31 - $22.77. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
