Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 Salary

Job Summary:

Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in the Philadelphia Metro Area to join our PA office as a Director of Information Technology. This position will be to identify, analyze, evaluate, and act upon opportunities to utilize information technology to improve operational efficiency and gain strategic business advantage. To interface with senior management and operational staff to interpret various business needs into technical solutions if they exist.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee support for all computer, telephone and peripheral equipment and services
• Monitor and maintain the LAN/WAN for performance and fault tolerance
• Oversee and manage the systems security
• Monitor internal/external e-mail systems
• Oversee the purchase of all hardware and software
• Provide ongoing hardware and software installations, upgrades and support
• Maintain full knowledge of system's capacity and operating features
• Oversee system backup and related tapes
• Oversee all archived electronic information that has been removed from the servers
• Manage all aspects of the Internet including hosting, mail and firewall security
• Procure, manage and negotiate all communications including data, voice and wireless
• Procure, manage and negotiate all copier/fax equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

• B.S. in Information Technology
• Minimum Experience: 10 years progressive IT experience
• Field of Expertise: Information Technology
• M.S in Information Technology preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and management skills.
• Knowledge of Novell/NT Network systems and software development
