AMW Operations Coordinator


 


Greenville, South Carolina


 


T E C Industrial is looking for a detail-oriented Additive Manufacturing Welding (AMW) Operations Coordinator to manage the planning, scheduling, and execution of additive development activities. This role involves overseeing the process from prototype development to initial production, ensuring timely delivery, efficiency, and quality.


 


Essential Functions:


 



  • Plan and schedule all process routing steps for additive development, including prototype creation, component qualification, and LRIP.

  • Manage and maintain comprehensive additive plans across both internal GE AMRT teams and external vendors.

  • Deliver and oversee the execution of additive development, including master scheduling for components and capacity planning.

  • Supervise and coordinate both internal and external capacity, schedules, and processes, including expediting components when necessary to meet deadlines.

  • Manage inventory levels and safety stock of consumables throughout the additive printing and post-printing processes. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers for RFQs, lead times, and place purchase orders as needed.

  • Organize maintenance schedules for additive equipment, including overseeing internal preventive maintenance (PMs) and calibrations, and request purchase requisitions for materials and services.

  • Coordinate the timely shipping and receiving of additive components to and from internal and external customers.

  • Maintain the electronic Factory Information System (FIS), ensuring accurate routing, tracking, and status reporting for additive development components, along with timely job movement across routing steps.

  • Provide daily updates on hardware readiness to clients, ensuring any issues are resolved efficiently with internal and external resources.

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external vendors, demonstrating a commitment to the success of all stakeholders.

  • Support and drive lean-based initiatives aimed at reducing waste, minimizing lead times, and resolving safety issues within the additive manufacturing operation.

  • Actively participate in the powder and support removal processes for additive components on an as-needed basis, demonstrating a strong hands-on approach.

Qualifications:


 



  • Proven experience in additive manufacturing planning, scheduling, and operations, especially in prototype development and production.

  • Strong knowledge of additive printing, component qualification, and production scheduling.

  • Skilled in managing relationships with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers.

  • Proficient in inventory management, including consumables and safety stock.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear updates and resolve issues.

  • Familiarity with Factory Information Systems (FIS) or similar tracking tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvements.

  • Hands-on experience in additive manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance is a plus.

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
