Job Description:

The Mfg. Mgr. is responsible for the manufacturing and production of complex automotive components that support the automotive industry. $83k to $93k depending on experience Additionally, the Mfg. Mgr. establishes and maintains productive and effective relationships with Japanese management and local department managers that foster a successful production environment that is centered on quality and safety best practices.


The Mfg. Mgr. reports to the manufacturing Deputy GM and their staff consists of an Assembly Leader, A/T Inspection Leader and Machining Leader.



Responsibilities



1. Responsible for the overall production of quality products that meet the Company's operational short and long term business goals.


2. Fosters a positive work environment centered on quality, compliance and continuous improvement.


3. Engages and motivates management and team members to follow and adhere to company objectives, policies and procedures.


4. Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may affect the production process or the product quality and lead kaizen events to increase productivity and reduce waste.


5. Creates and manages Manufacturing KPIs such as plant safety, quality, cost, delivery, environment and TM morale. Suggest improvements and innovations to achieve KPI targets as needed.


6. Ensure that the products are manufactured according to the customer specifications and quality standards


7. Manage the budget, inventory, and equipment of the manufacturing department and optimize production cost and efficiency


8. Collaborate with other departments to create a company culture of respect, inclusivity, efficiency and safety



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 7 years manufacturing experience

  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing management experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a company with over 100 employees

  • Ability to develop work standard manufacturing procedural documents

  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing industry, lean manufacturing principles, total quality management systems and best practices

  • Experience with Microsoft office products to include outlook, excel and powerpoint

  • Effective oral and written communications skills



  • Desirable Qualifications


  • Experience in a cross-cultural working environment.

  • Manufacturing leadership experience in the automotive industry.
