Summary
Under the direction of the Process Supervisor the Process Assistant will be responsible for checking oil levels and general maintenance of machinery in this plant.
What you'll be contributing:
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
Monitor all equipment in plant, such as temperatures, pressures, and oil levels.
Assist with kiln repairs during shutdowns.
Must be able to communicate with all plant personnel no matter what conditions they are in, such as noisy areas.
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to operate a tractor trailer rig and be able to read and understand the operators manual.
Must have plant experience or knowledge of Roller mill and its operation.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
To succeed in this position, you will need:
High school graduation or equivalent is required
Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Willingness to learn, training will be provided
Must be able to work rotating shift including 12-hour nights and days.
Must be able to work with all supervisors and keep them informed of roller mill situations.
Must be able to correct problems as they arise.
Must be able to learn the operations of the plant and be able to assist in the training of the crewmembers.
Must be able to complete training in a timely manner.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds when needed.
Must be able to climb ladders up to 100 feet when needed.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, and noisy areas.
Must be able to work in confined spaces for long extended periods of time.
Must be able to carry 5 gallon cans up stairs and able to move 55 gallon drums of oil onto the reclaimer.
Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as bobcats and loaders and understand operator manual to assist in cleanup.
Must be able to work with hand tools such as shovel, jackhammer, pry bar, and hoe to unplug chutes.
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout procedures
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Lifing up to 50 pounds. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
