Title: Cyber Security Program Manager/Project Manager
Job Type: Fulltime/Contract on W2
Duration: 12 months (Contract to Hire)
Locations:- Charlotte, NC / Chandler, AZ - In-office 3 days a week, remote 2 days a week.
As aCyber Security Program Manager/Project Manager, you will be- Overseeing and coordinating cybersecurity projects that protect the bank's data, customer information, and digital assets. Ensuring that the organization meets its security and compliance objectives in a highly regulated environment.
1. Cybersecurity Program Oversight
Leading the development and execution of cybersecurity programs and projects, such as enhancing network security, implementing data protection controls, or upgrading incident response capabilities. 2. Risk Assessment and Compliance Management
Collaborating with risk and compliance teams to ensure that cybersecurity programs align with internal policies and industry regulations. 3. Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
Acting as a liaison between cybersecurity teams and other departments, such as IT, risk management, and business units, to ensure cybersecurity goals are understood and prioritized across the organization. 4. Vendor and Technology Management
Selecting and managing cybersecurity vendors and third-party partners who provide tools or services critical to the program's success. 5. Cybersecurity Strategy and Innovation
Working with leadership to continuously improve the cybersecurity posture, often by incorporating new technologies or frameworks into the security strategy. 6. Incident Response and Threat Intelligence
Supporting the development of robust incident response plans and ensuring the organization is prepared to respond swiftly to any cybersecurity incidents.
The ideal candidate will have:
Vast cyber domain background, where he/she can know and understand cyber functions and business services such as, strategic planning, financial planning, and forecasting.
Some cyber auditing
Large financial institution would probably adapt better into this role, yet it isn't a requirement.
Technical Cybersecurity Knowledge: A deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, protocols, and financial regulations.
Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills for guiding cross-functional teams and clearly communicating complex cybersecurity concepts to non-technical audiences.
Risk Management: Ability to assess, prioritize, and mitigate cyber risks within the context of a financial institution.
Analytical Skills: Capability to analyse program data, measure outcomes, and adjust strategies to maximize security effectiveness.
