Nemours is currently seeking a NP or PA to join our Cardiac Team! This Advance Practice Provider position collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to provide quality and safe health care to children within the preventive cardiology program. The Cardiac Center boasts excellent patient outcomes and highly regarded patient experiences. The position is day shift, Monday - Friday at main campus with potential for satellite coverage.
This position is responsible for:
Practicing collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers to provide high quality health care to children
Performing appropriate assessment of patient/family upon referral/admission.
Performing ongoing assessment and evaluation of patient progress and revision of interdisciplinary plan of care
Ordering and prescribing medications, as well as lab testing.
Identifies patient/family need for further resources and initiates appropriate referrals
Requirements:
Master's degree in nursing or physician assistant studies from an accredited program.
Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Delaware.
BLS from the American Heart Association
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Commitment to providing compassionate, family-centered care and promoting patient advocacy.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges
Experience as an advanced practice provider is preferred.
