POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Land Administration Manager will lead a large team of Lease, Division Order, and Owner Relations Analysts, provide subject matter expertise and recommendations aimed at influencing management decisions, and elevate our Land Administration policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads Land Administration project management, coordinating the procedures and timeliness of team deliverables
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of petroleum land management and database management principles and exhibits leadership while actively mentoring personnel on projects
Responsible for the effective and efficient management of the company's revenue and expense decks for both operated and non-operated wells and its lease and contract records
Leads integration efforts for newly acquired assets via electronic conversion of records across different Land and Accounting databases
Establishes alignment between Land Administration and other departments (Land, Joint Interest Billing, Revenue Accounting, Marketing, etc.), ensuring revenue distribution and maintenance strategies comply with both company policies and state regulations
Leads efforts to reduce suspense accounts through owner outreach and state escheat processes

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and the ability to learn new software or applications, additionally:

High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
Demonstrated knowledge of upstream oil and gas land/land administration
Ability to identify risks and inefficiencies, formulate and implement solutions, and monitor the progress thereof

Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Quorum OnDemand Land and OnDemand Accounting is preferred
Ability to leverage software (Excel, Power Query, PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.) to manipulate large datasets and extract information is preferred
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field from an accredited four-year university
10+ years of Land/Land Administration experience at an upstream operator
