Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Production Planning Scheduler to join our team at our rice milling and packaging plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules, ensuring optimal resource allocation, and coordinating with various departments to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and equipment availability.
Collaborate with production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
Monitor production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
Analyze production data to forecast future production needs and adjust schedules accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, waste, and downtime.
Communicate regularly with management and staff regarding production status, delays, and other relevant information.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Participate in regular meetings to review production performance and address any issues.
Participation with monthly physical inventory count is required.

Requirements
Proven experience in supply chain management or production planning is preferred.
Superior Excel skills required, Database, Power BI or similar skills are highly desirable.
Strong understanding of inventory control principles and demand planning techniques.
Familiarity with MRP systems, Sage, or similar software applications is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
Bilingual in Spanish.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
Strong understanding of production processes and supply chain management.
Proficient in production scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
