The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is the largest national nonprofit trade organization dedicated to salon professionals, including salons, spas, distributors, manufacturers, and beauty professionals. Our mission is to elevate, unite, and serve the beauty industry by providing education, government advocacy, charitable outreach, and world-class events. PBA is the proud host of prominent industry events such as the Executive Summit, Beacon, and the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA).

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to conduct our marketing efforts and support PBA's mission of empowering beauty professionals. This role involves the development and execution of innovative marketing strategies, managing multi-channel campaigns, and enhancing the organization's brand presence across various platforms. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to drive brand awareness and engagement among our members.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid: 2 days in office, 2-3 days remote)

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to drive brand visibility, member engagement, and event attendance.
  • Lead digital marketing efforts, including social media management, email marketing, and content creation.
  • Manage end-to-end marketing campaigns, from execution through performance analysis.
  • Oversee website content updates and ensure the platform aligns with brand messaging.
  • Build and deploy marketing materials across various channels, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Coordinate promotional activities and events in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Utilize data analytics and market research to inform decision-making and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communications and marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience in marketing, with a preference for candidates from the beauty or related industries.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, including social media strategy, email marketing, and content development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling marketing messages.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing successful marketing strategies.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, CRM systems).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in using data to drive marketing decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit or membership-based organizations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the beauty industry and its unique challenges and opportunities.
