This position is responsible for the servicing of WGB Group accounts, at retail home centers and CO-OP accounts within the South-Central region. The position provides ongoing training programs, develops processes and strategies that drive sales and product awareness within the assigned home center accounts. The Regional Field Representative will be based
in the Dallas, TX area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide in-store sales support for the assigned home center and CO-OP accounts within the South Central region
Develop a strong relationship with the retail stores, district and regional merchandising teams
Providing field training tools that maximize product awareness
Partnering with retailers Pro Sales teams to reach independent contractors and MRO customers.
Increase product visibility through cross-merchandising and regional off-shelf promotional opportunities
Able to multi-task store calls, product demonstrations, execute field product training and new product launches.
Improving merchandising processes by working with in-store service teams
Analyze sales data and develop action plan based on underperforming territories.
Attend customer Grand Opening Events, Contractor Appreciation Days, etc.
Maintain all assigned store call reports, recaps and summaries to National Account Managers through automated CRM systems within guidelines.
Provide competitive intelligence (comp shops, new products, test planograms, etc) in assigned market/region.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Prefer 1-3 years of sales experience in retail hardware industry
Very strong verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate one-on-one and present to larger groups
Strong written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with customers by email, as well as develop written reports and presentations
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Strong time management, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
Highly motivated, customer oriented and a self-starter
Previous retail Home Center or hardware experience a plus
Ability to lift at least 50lbs if required
Expense management capabilities
50% overnight travel required( valid drivers license and air travel required )
You must be a self-starter with high initiative and motivation to work independently
