Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Interpreting Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for day-to-day project coordination and managing comprehensive support for interpreting services, proficiency testing, translation, and language-related services. This role includes leading initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving process improvements to enhance service efficiency. The individual should be able to work under pressure and maintain a sense of humor while balancing multiple project deadlines.
Job Duties
Managing project plans and coordinating across departments for streamlined execution of interpreting, translation, and language-related services.
Supporting the service cycle from initial order intake through successful request fulfillment, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency, with attention to special projects that may require unique planning, resources, or timelines.
Serving as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to align on project objectives.
Managing off-site projects and attending as necessary to oversee logistics, ensure seamless execution, and meet any stakeholder needs in real time.
Developing and implementing strategic approaches to contractor negotiations, including pay rates and service terms, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and quality.
Educating stakeholders on best practices, industry standards, and compliance to ensure adherence to organizational policies.
Providing after-hours support approximately every 5-6 weeks, ensuring continuity of services during emergencies.
Performing additional related duties as necessary to support the department's objectives.

Expertise in Microsoft Teams for real-time updates and advanced collaboration.
Ability to manage customized software for interpreting services, facilitating efficient communication and project tracking.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness for stakeholder updates.
Acute attention to detail with names, addresses, dates, and times in a multi-lingual context.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Adaptability to work with a driven, dynamic team, focusing on results and task completion.
Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs, work at a computer for extended periods, and use office equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, Global Studies, Foreign Languages, or related field and 4+ years of related work experience in a service or language work setting preferred
High proficiency in English, both spoken and written
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in project management or a similar role is highly preferred
Classification and Compensation
Salary starting at $56,000-58,000 annually.
This is a full-time, exempt position with on-site requirements, eligible for a hybrid schedule. Initial training will occur on-site for the first 90 days.
