Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Process Chiller Technician to join our team. The Process Chiller Technician will be responsible for technical troubleshooting for in-house production and supporting existing chillers in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration service, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities
  • Support production with chiller manufacturing, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Perform equipment startup support for new projects at customer facilities.
  • Provide timely technical customer support primarily via phone & email. Occasional on-site visits to customers.
  • Assist in the chiller design process alongside the engineering team, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budget, and timeline.
  • Collaborate with production & supply chain to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to HVACR design and production.

Qualifications
  • EPA 608 Universal Certificate
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience as an HVAC/R technician
  • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and testing electrical components, including low voltage controls
  • Proficiency in brazing and soldering
  • Experience in hydronics with a minimum understanding of piping best practices, valves, fittings, pumps, etc.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 lbs. unassisted

  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Willingness / ability to travel. Average travel is approximately 15-25% (weekdays)
