Position Summary | Western Steel Buildings is seeking a Metal Building Estimator to play a crucial role within our Pre-Engineered Metal Building sales team.
Job Responsibilities
Acts as a knowledgeable resource in the field of PEMB design, providing expertise to internal and external stakeholders
Advise sales team on best practices for steel building takeoffs and design.
Responsible for identifying, managing, and mitigating financial risk exposure to Western Steel Buildings
Maintains knowledge of third-party vendors to accurately estimate project costs
Develop and improve knowledge of PEMB best practices and design limitations
Review estimates completed by the sales team and other estimators for accuracy and scope
Reports to Estimating Manager
Qualifications
Proficient in Metal Building Software with 5-10 years of relevant experience (preferred)
Experience with Tekla is a plus
Experience within and knowledge of the construction industry
Highly organized, self-motivated, strong communicator, and possessing acute attention to detail
