Position Summary:

Stonehenge is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join a new SBA lending platform as a Director of Originations - SBA 7 (a) Lending. This position will be responsible for guiding small business owners through the SBA loan application process. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs, evaluate their eligibility for SBA loan programs, and manage the loan application process from start to finish. Your goal will be to provide exceptional service and ensure that our clients receive timely and efficient loan approvals.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Director of Originations to join our team and help our clients access the capital they need to grow and succeed. This individual is responsible for business development and marketing of existing and prospective accounts.

Responsibilities Include:

Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities to attract new clients and grow the company's SBA loan portfolio. Complete required pipeline, incentive and related reports and records accurately and promptly.

Client Consultation: Meet with potential borrowers to assess their financial needs, provide information on SBA loan programs, and determine their eligibility. Explain loan products and related credit criteria in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from prospective clients.

Application Management: Assist clients in completing SBA loan applications, ensuring that all required documentation is gathered and submitted accurately.

Financial Analysis: Review financial statements, credit reports, and business plans to assess the viability and risk of loan applications.

Loan Structuring: Advise clients on the best loan structure and terms based on their business needs and financial situation. Presents and helps prepare credit proposals including recommendations for pricing, terms and structure to approving authority(ies).

Processing and Follow-Up: Manage the loan application process, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners, and ensuring timely progress from application to approval. Communicates clear reasons for denial in a timely manner to applicants when their loan request has been denied.

Compliance: Ensure that all loan applications and processes comply with SBA regulations and company policies.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout the loan process.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, SBA loan programs, and competitive products to effectively advise clients and adapt to changing market conditions.

Teamwork: Works alongside lending support teams to maintain a high quality of work and efficiency in operations to ensure approved loans are originated.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Certified SBA Loan Specialist) are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of SBA 7(a) lending experience.

Skills:

A high level of financial acumen and proven skill to conduct detailed, structured, and comprehensive analysis and ability to synthesize results in a clear, articulate manner.

A strong work ethic and self-starter mentality, with the ability to handle projects from start to finish.

Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills.

The ability to structure and present complex ideas and information in simple, persuasive written and oral forms.

Excellent planning and organization skills.

The highest degree of ethics and integrity and a "team-player" mentality.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

This position will be based in Dallas or Columbus, OH.
