As a thriving school, we are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Business Office Associate to join our dedicated team to support the school's financial and business operations.
Responsibilities
Accounts Payable - verify and process vendor invoices for payment
Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
Manage school's credit accounts, usage, and reconciliation
Accounts Receivable - manage student billing and receivables
Ensure accurate allocation of tuition assistance / financial aid
Assist in the processing of incoming payments (checks, credit card payments, electronic transfers)
Generate financial reports and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (experience with Xero a plus)
Assist with year-end closing procedures and audits
Provide general operational support to the faculty and staff
Assist with event budgeting and invoicing
Coordinate with the Operations team on financial matters
Assist with the management of insurance and risk management coverages
Provide administrative support for school's real estate management activities
Assist with the preparation of tax and other regulatory filings
Provide additional HR support as needed
Assist with general business office operations
Provide administrative support as needed to the Director of Finance
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with parents, faculty, and staff
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or financial role • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail • Proficiency in accounting software platforms and Microsoft Excel • Commitment to accuracy and confidentiality • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
