The Accounting Clerk ("AC") performs routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and all clerical duties deemed necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the Accounts Payable department.
General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):
Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing mail for designated departments.
Distributing and logging mail/checks to cash team staff.
Copies of all necessary documents for management and departmental needs.
Performs all clerical duties deemed necessary to ensure smooth functioning of the Accounts Payable department
As directed by Sr. Manager, Accounting and Accounts Payable to assist other AP personnel as needed and as time permits.
Demonstrates ability to locate information accurately and promptly. Recognizes work related problems and contributes to solutions.
Meet specific deadlines. Responds to variations in daily workload by assigning task priorities according to Department policies and standards.
Communicate effectively using good customer relations skills.
Deliver mail to the post office when necessary.
Other duties assigned by Senior Manager, Accounting, such as reviewing the Brex expense report and invoices in the Relish system.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Experience:
At least six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education/Licensure: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Other:
Previous experience as a clerk or similar position.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Basic skills required. Other Skills and Abilities:
Good organizational skills.
Ability to reason and carry out instructions.
Good interpersonal skills.
Ability to type 40+ words per minute.
Read, write, and speak English fluently.
Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
File systematically.
