Our Client Is Currently Seeking A Project Engineer to replace a retiring member of the engineering team
Main Responsibilities
Problem-Solving & Management: Proactively address and manage issues related to scope, budget, and quality.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside engineering support to complete specific projects.
Project Coordination: Help with scheduling, budgeting, setting project goals within financial limits, and status reporting.
Engineering Support: Provide process engineering, equipment layout, integration, and specification services, including comparative analysis and technical evaluations for senior management.
Vendor Coordination: Investigate, select, negotiate prices, coordinate, and procure equipment for projects.
Contractor Management: Develop contractor scopes, oversee contractors, and inspect construction to ensure adherence to company safety, quality, and practice standards.
Installation Planning: Plan for the installation of equipment and related construction activities.
Project Start-up: Assist in the start-up and commissioning of equipment and systems.
Performance Improvement: Enhance manufacturing line performance by evaluating performance metrics.
Skills and Competencies
Proficiency in Auto-CAD for 2-D layouts.
Experience in managing small to medium-sized projects.
Experience:
At least 5 years (7+ years preferred) in an engineering role within a food manufacturing or related environment.
Demonstrated experience in supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
