ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Tradeshow and Event Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a comprehensive portfolio of tradeshows, conferences, and events, both virtual and in-person primarily for the company's Medical Device and Dental businesses. This role is crucial in driving brand awareness, generating leads, and supporting the overall sales and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have a passion for events, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong ability to work cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated competencies in strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactically.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Define the company event strategy and plan, including:
Developing and implementing an annual tradeshow and events calendar aligned with company and business unit goals, sales objectives and marketing strategies. This resource will primarily support the Medical Device and Dental businesses, but may need to support other business units as requirements evolve.
Creating comprehensive event plans, including objectives, timelines, budgets, logistics and performance metrics.
Lead, own and drive best-in-class event execution, including:
Leading end-to-end execution of events, including site selection, vendor management, booth design, staffing and on-site logistics.
Coordinating pre-event promotion, on-site marketing initiatives, lead capture strategies, and post event actions to impactfully monetize the event.
Ensuring consistent brand messaging, high-quality presentation, and engaging attendee experiences at each event.
Managing event-related content creation, such as collateral, presentation, signage and digital assets
Driving cross-functional collaboration and buy-in, including:
Working closely with sales, marketing, product teams, and executives to align event goals with broader business objectives.
Coordinating internal event staffing, briefing team members on event roles, and ensuring product specialists are trained for demos and customer interactions.
Collaborating with digital marketing and content teams to develop event-related campaigns, social media posts, email marketing, and other promotional activities.
Aligning post-event actions with sales to maximize ROI contribution from event investments.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success of event investments:
Defining event success metrics and measuring the effectiveness of each event through lead generation, attendee engagement, and post-event surveys.
Preparing post-event reports, analyzing results, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending strategic adjustments for future events.
Utilizing event management software and CRM tools to track event performance, lead capture, and follow-up
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Willingness to travel for events (up to 30-50% of the time)
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or related field.
3-5 years of experience in event management, tradeshow coordination, or a related role, preferably in a B2B environment
Proven track record in successfully managing and monetizing large-scale events and tradeshows, both domestically and internationally
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
Proficiency in event management software, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and digital marketing tools.
Strong strategic thinking and tactical execution skills.
Creative thinker with a problem-solving mindset and the ability to develop innovative event strategies and tactics.
