International Registries is an industry leader in Maritime and Corporate Registries with over 28 offices worldwide and is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Business Analyst/Quality Assurance Tester to join our team in Reston, Virginia.

Role:
The successful candidate will bridge the gap between our technical development team and business users, ensuring that our software meets both functional and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into detailed business and functional specifications.
Participate in requirement gathering sessions, document requirements, and create user stories.
Develop test cases, test scripts, and execute testing plans to ensure software quality.
Conduct functional, regression, and system testing to verify that developed software meets the specified requirements.
Identify, document, and track defects and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
Analyze and communicate testing results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
Ensure documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and accurately reflects the current state of systems and processes.
Participate in release planning, stand-ups, and other team meetings to stay aligned with the development team.
Experience:
2+ years of demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Quality Assurance Tester, preferably in a technical or software development environment.
Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and software testing methodologies.
Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, test cases, and defect reports.
Familiarity with tools for tracking requirements and managing defects (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Desirable:
JIRA and Confluence experience
Agile based delivery methodologies
Knowledge of automated testing tools (JUnit, Selenium, TestNG)
Behavior Driven Development (BBD) using Cucumber styled frameworks
