About the role:
As our Head of Sales, you will drive the external sales strategy, focusing on acquiring new business, expanding the customer base, and exploring new revenue opportunities across the Conetic Group companies, specifically its inflight entertainment and media businesses (Touch and Above).
This is a global position, open to candidates worldwide. The role offers the flexibility of remote work, or a hybrid arrangement if you are based in Lisbon.
In this role, you will play a key part in promoting our two businesses by generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, and representing the companies at industry events. You will collaborate closely with the strategy, marketing, and commercial accounts teams to generate leads, respond to RFPs and tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth transitions from sales to account management. This collaborative approach will drive the growth and sustainability of the business.
About the responsabilities:
Sales and Business Development
Lead efforts to acquire new customers and drive business growth in the inflight entertainment sector, targeting airlines and related industries.
Develop and execute a sales strategy for both Touch and Above, focusing on the unique offerings of each business.
Identify and explore new revenue streams and business opportunities in both traditional and emerging markets.
Participate in responding to RFPs, tenders, and other business proposals, ensuring a competitive and tailored response.
Track sales performance, ensuring targets are met or exceeded, and report regularly on the status of the sales pipeline.
Lead Generation and CRM Management
Proactively generate leads through networking, industry contacts, and digital channels, ensuring a steady pipeline of potential customers.
Manage all leads within the CRM, ensuring that the database is up to date with accurate information on prospective clients, opportunities, and contracts.
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create and execute campaigns that generate qualified leads and increase brand visibility.
Contract Negotiation and Closing
Lead negotiations on new contracts with clients, ensuring that terms are beneficial for both the customer and the business.
Oversee the closing process for new business opportunities, ensuring all contractual terms are clear and in alignment with company objectives.
Coordinate with legal and finance teams to finalize agreements and ensure compliance with company policies.
Team Leadership and Development
This position will have, for now, one position that reports to both the Head of Sales and the Head of Commercial Accounts, specifically the Content Partnerships & Acquisitions (CPA) Manager, who will support the content strategy and overall relationship development with content partners.
Coordinate the priorities of the CPA Manager when it comes to prepare content creative offers, case studies and the like for business proposals and pitching sessions.
Develop the CPA Manager for positive contribution in the sales function during tender processes and negotiation with key partners for optimized pricing.
Collaboration with Marketing and Industry Presence
Work closely with marketing to align sales and marketing initiatives, ensuring that product and service offerings are effectively promoted.
Participate in industry conferences, exhibitions, etc. where?Touch?and?Above?can showcase their products and services.
Represent the companies at industry functions, speaking engagements, and networking events to raise the company's profile and generate business.
Sales Transition and Support
Ensure a smooth handover process from the sales team to the Head of Commercial Accounts?and the account management team after closing new business.
Support the?Head of Commercial Accounts?during tender processes for existing customers, assisting in ensuring continuity and growth.
About you:
Fluent in English.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the inflight entertainment, technology, or media sectors.
Proven experience in responding to RFPs and securing contracts with large organizations.
Demonstrated success in acquiring new business and growing a customer portfolio.
Experience working with cloud-based platforms or media solutions is a strong advantage.
Experience in aviation, inflight entertainment and media is a plus.
Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a focus on closing deals and driving business growth.
Strong leadership and management capabilities, with experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and externally.
Strategic thinking with the ability to identify new business opportunities and craft winning proposals.
Solid understanding of CRM systems and data management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
In-depth knowledge of the inflight entertainment market and technology trends.
Familiarity with RFP processes and the preparation of winning business proposals.
Strong understanding of lead generation techniques and sales funnels.
Knowledge of content service providers and cloud-based media solutions.
Expertise in managing sales pipelines and tracking performance against targets.
Experience in participating in and organizing industry events, exhibitions, and other promotional activities.
Ability to navigate complex organizational structures and manage stakeholders with diverse needs.
