General Description

The Project Manager is responsible for oversight and management of multiple renewable energy projects, with a focus on safety, quality, cost controls, schedule, sub-contractors, and suppliers. Overall, as a Project Manager, your role is to lead the successful execution of SOLAR & renewable energy projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Direct experience managing and successfully delivery solar projects from 30mw to 200mw is required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans and strategies in alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution, collaborate with engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost- effective project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Track and record site progress utilizing LCR proprietary production tracking software.
  • Work in unison with Safety and Quality to establish goals and expectations for projects and processes to manage them.
  • Present weekly progress reports and host weekly progress meetings with project owners.
  • Manage daily plan of the day meetings with LCR project team members and subcontractors.
  • Adapt and adjust plans as necessary to maintain schedule and budget targets.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency, productivity, and performance.
  • Prepare regular financial reports, reoccurring status meetings and forecasts for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to facilitate a smooth transition from construction to operation.
  • Conduct final inspections and documentation to verify project completion and compliance with contractual requirements.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience managing complex construction projects.
  • Proven experience in project management, engineering, and construction, with a focus on solar energy projects.
  • Strong technical expertise in solar PV systems, including design, installation, and operation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, Procore.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED AP) preferred.
  • Commissioning of Substations.
