Akkadian Ventures, a pioneering multi-stage venture capital firm specializing in secondary investments in high-growth technology companies, is seeking a proactive, strategic, and adaptable Chief of Staff to join our team in San Francisco. In addition to investing, Akkadian hosts the RAISE Global Summit-the premier event connecting emerging venture capital funds with visionary limited partners. RAISE has cultivated an active community of over 5,000 GPs and LPs.
This is a unique opportunity to work closely with our senior leadership, including our co-founders, on high-impact initiatives in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The Chief of Staff role is a hands-on position-expected to tackle a wide range of responsibilities, from managing events and driving investor communications to handling essential day-to-day operations.
Position Overview: This two-year opportunity is ideal for an aspiring venture capital professional looking to gain deep industry insight before moving on to an operational role within our, or another firm, pursuing further education, or joining a startup. If you're an independent self-starter who has a talent for supporting multiple stakeholders and managing diverse projects and is looking to gain 360° experience in what it takes to operate and manage a venture capital firm, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational & Administrative Support: Provide logistical support to our senior team, including travel arrangements, scheduling, research, and other essential administrative tasks.
Community & Event Management: Oversee on-site events at Akkadian HQ for the RAISE Global community and third-party partners. Contribute to the overall growth and engagement of the RAISE community.
Investor Relations: Manage investor communications, annual meetings, and outreach initiatives, ensuring a professional and consistent experience for our investor base.
Special Projects: Design and implement processes to tackle new projects and innovate creative solutions to increase the impact of core, and secondary, Akkadian operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
3+ years of work experience in a related role, ideally within investment banking, private markets, wealth management, consulting, or a fast-paced tech environment.
Experience with Affinity, Hubspot and Airtable
Strong project management skills with an ability to juggle multiple priorities in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for various audiences.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite (Excel and Powerpoint), CRMs, and adopting and implementing new productivity tools.
This job is in our office in SOMA every day. No remote or hybrid work is available.
