Scientist is responsible, but not limited to, conducting experiments and running tests given to them by senior scientists. Precision and accuracy are of the utmost importance to the Scientist, providing senior scientists with clear and concise descriptions of the tasks performed. The Scientist is also expected to take responsibility for lab cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and office space organization. The primary job of a Scientist is to take direction and learn from the senior scientists, asking questions and conducting research to further their understanding of chemistry as it pertains to advancing the interests of the company.

Conduct experiments provided by senior scientists.
Provide method and results of experiments and tests in clear and concise language.
Be able to follow and design Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain and clean all chemistry equipment and supplies.
Summarize ongoing work and results in clear and concise language.
Determine quality control parameters for product testing.
Work with production and engineering teams to facilitate a product going from R&D to production.
Be self-motivated and self-guided in the absence of senior leadership.
Minimum bachelor's in chemistry or related field.
Robust critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Communication skills, both written and oral.
Proficient in the use of computers, most importantly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Googledocs.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
After hours work may be required.
Remains standing and walking at least 50% of the day and for long periods of time.
Must be able to move up to 50 lbs.
Minimal travel, 10% time, may be required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
Ability to convey complex information with a high degree of accuracy.
