Job Summary:
As the Director of Beverage Sales, you will take charge of the development and execution of our B2B sales strategy for Cornbread Hemp's new THC beverage line. Your primary focus will be on building and nurturing relationships with distributors and retailers interested in selling THC beverages. The ideal candidate is results-driven, bringing a proven track record in the beverage industry, particularly in off-premise beer or seltzer sales, and will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving market.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Development: Craft and implement a comprehensive B2B sales strategy for Cornbread Hemp's THC Seltzer line, initially targeting regional markets with plans for national expansion.
Account Management: Foster and manage relationships with key accounts and top-tier distributors to enhance partnerships and broaden our network within the beverage industry.
Forecasting & Budgeting: Collaborate with CEO to establish KPI's and sales goals, ensuring targets are achieved while adhering to budget constraints.
P&L Management: Work with accounting to produce an accurate monthly P&L for the B2B side of the business, while analyzing and adjusting investments to achieve growth and profitability.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team, setting clear goals and performance metrics to drive success.
Sales Execution & KPI Achievement: Motivate the team to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs through effective leadership, coaching, and strategic planning.
Market Analysis: Continuously assess industry trends and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities and address potential challenges for ongoing growth.
Collaboration with Marketing and Product Development: Partner with marketing and product development teams to align on brand positioning, promotional strategies, and product innovation.
Requirements:
Beverage Sales Experience: 5+ years of proven B2B beverage sales experience, preferably in the alcohol or functional beverage sector with proven track recrod in B2B sales.
Beverage Relationships: Strong ability to establish and maintain connections with major retail and distribution partners; a robust network in the beverage industry is highly preferred.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing, motivating, and growing a sales team with an emphasis on performance and accountability.
Marketing Acumen: Demonstrated ability to collaborate on marketing materials including presentations, shelf talkers, and print collateral with brand and design teams.
Results-Oriented: Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that achieve business objectives.
Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to work remotely with frequent travel for meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Travel up to 2 weeks per month.
