Job Description:

Hand In Pocket (www.handinpocket.com), a faced paced and rapidly growing women's clothing boutique, is seeking a highly motivated self starter who has a passion for customer service and fashion. As a store manager you will manage the day-to-day activities of the store from opening to closing and after hours events to ensure profitability, collaboration, beauty and outstanding service.

Primary Responsibilities:

Leadership:
  • Plan, delegate and follow up on expected tasks to ensure goals are met
  • Assist team by driving business results to maximize sales plan, and manage expenses through operational/sales leadership
  • Focus, support and prepare team to balance customer experience with operational tasks
  • Ensure the highest level of customer care in line with Hand In Pocket's specific service expectations and selling standards
  • Uses product knowledge and selection to work with social media, online and marketing teams to develop content for promotions and digital marketing content
  • Assists in online inventory management and order fulfillment for handinpocket.com
  • Performs buying assistant duties: organize buying trips, price and import styles in POS, edit PO's from buying trips
  • Perform merchandising tasks, such as stock, re-merchandising, display, price markdowns and store maintenance

Qualifications
  • Retail know-how with hands on experience managing all aspects of a store from the stockroom to the sales floor
  • Must have a good eye for how to present things and put them together
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in specialty women's apparel industry is a MUST management experience in a fashion retail environment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals- Understanding of retail profit measures
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast paced, environment
  • Driven to deliver superior service by exceeding customer expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
  • Able to work well as a team player in a fast-paced entrepreneurial work environment
  • Proven ability to plan, set and achieve goals
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Presents a professional image in appearance, words and actions
  • Be a self-starter and use good judgment in all situations
  • Proficient with MS Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with Canva, Klaviyo and Shopify a plus
  • Prior key holding responsibilities
