Job Description:

Board of Directors Direct Report. Collaborate with the Board of Directors to identify, create and implement strategic plans to actualize business objectives.

Leadership. Train on the facilitation and support of direct reports and other to develop and maintain project plans with strategies, activities, and timelines to support workflow and communications to accomplish objectives. Lead large group discussions to answer questions and remedy complaints.

Organizational Culture. Create and nurture effective communication within the organization.

Partnerships, Resource Development and Management. Train on leading fund development efforts to generate revenue for workforce development efforts - including stewarding/cultivating relationships with funders, overseeing grant implementation.

Proposals and Reports. Design and develop proposals and reports,

Budget. Development and management of budget.

Local Hire Goals. Maintain an understanding of local hire goals met on all Power2Workers projects and identifying any projects that need improvement. Strategize with Program Director to ensure they are working to resolve issues and bring projects into compliance as necessary.

Staffing. Make executive personnel decisions regarding all Power2Workers staff.

Project Oversight. Review new projects and ensure systems are set up with Power2Workers including for team members to understand the project policy, reporting requirements, interviewing requirements, and jobsite contacts.

Training. Support the development of policies, procedures and training to ensure team has tools and resources to effectively learn and execute their work.

Fundaiser. Organize annual fundraiser and lead team to successfully execute.

Grant Management. Complete grant applications and manage awarded grants from a reporting, budgeting and staffing perspective.

Business Development. Reach out to clients to ensure satisfaction. Work closely with union representatives to foster solid career pathways for Power2Workers participants.

Qualifications
• Experience as an Executive Director leading a non-profit organization is preferred.
• Experience with workforce development is preferred.
• Experience with construction is preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills

• Written and verbal communication skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
