As a Site Selection Manager you will be responsible for locating sites, assessing them for suitability to become a Clean Campuses, and performing the work to finalize the purchase of the properties. From time to time will execute special projects to assist in the technical development of the sites and help Lancium Business Units and/or external Partners to assess and execute the best methods to plan and operate their businesses.

What You Will Do
  • Find and assess the best properties to build the Lancium Clean Campuses, by developing the pass/fail criteria for site selection, with the support of other Construction team members.
  • Develop and improve a set of Go/No-Go criteria for site selection, while periodically communicating the results of using the criteria to senior management.
  • Establish and grow the Lancium support resources and execution processes for land purchase. Often this will require using local experts in legal issues, site survey and assessment, encouraging potential landowners to engage with Lancium, managing the process of survey and land description to manage easement, and closing of the purchases. During the work, it will often require timely mitigation of new risks and leveraging of new opportunities to secure the purchase of a preferred property.
  • Leverage knowledge of the Campus portfolio, to assist in planning, monitoring, and controlling of Lancium work processes. This will include excellent communication with corporate departments, operational resources, and external Stakeholders. This is managing both the delivery and consumption of large-scale electric power using Lancium systems.
  • Serve as a supervisory leader of Safety topics, while collaborating on all Health Safety and Environmental processes.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • Support the Business Units in all technical aspects of their work, while coaching and influencing other managers and employees in the achievement of their individual business goals.

What We Want From You
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management or engineering preferred
  • Strong knowledge of data center sites and the site selection process
  • Ability to work onsite at the Newport Beach, CA office
  • Ability to travel 1 week/month to the North Texas clean campus sites
  • 5+ years of executing technical construction work, site construction, achieving concurrent multiple projects in development and construction.
  • 5 + years of technical support of internal/external new business development.
