The General Manager / President will be the visionary leader and strategic driver for StarFire Direct, a dynamic part of a private equity-owned portfolio company focused on rapid growth and operational excellence. The GM / President will oversee the company's key functions-e-commerce, sales, marketing, customer service, and operations-to drive ambitious growth and profitability goals. Success in this role demands expertise in digital and e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon, as well as strong skills in IT and systems to enable scalable, data-driven processes. Working closely with the CEO and leadership team, the GM / President will play a pivotal role in positioning StarFire Direct as an industry leader while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities: • Business Strategy: • Craft and execute strategic plans to drive growth, leveraging Amazon and other channels to scale revenue and increase market share. • Identify high-potential business opportunities, optimizing product offerings to capture and expand market reach. • Set and achieve aggressive performance metrics aligned with both company and private equity growth targets, quickly adapting to market changes and leveraging data for informed decisions. • Operational Oversight: • Oversee daily operations across departments, including e-commerce, sales, marketing, finance, and logistics, ensuring alignment with high-growth objectives. • Optimize warehouse and logistics processes for efficient stock management, integrating Amazon fulfillment where possible for broader reach. • Implement IT and systems solutions that support scalability, improve data insights, and streamline processes for cost-effectiveness and rapid growth. • Sales and Marketing Leadership: • Develop and execute a robust multi-channel marketing strategy, focusing on D2C growth and maximizing visibility on Amazon and other platforms. • Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive revenue across multiple channels, including retail partnerships and direct-to-consumer efforts. • Lead initiatives to enhance the digital customer experience, optimizing the StarFire Direct website and Amazon presence to improve engagement and conversion rates.
• Financial Management: • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control to ensure the company's financial health and resource alignment with high-impact initiatives. • Conduct data-driven financial analyses to guide strategic decisions and maximize profit margins, including performance tracking for Amazon campaigns and IT investments.
• Team Leadership: • Inspire and lead the StarFire Direct team, fostering a culture of accountability, customer-centricity, and innovation in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. • Develop a high-performance team focused on continuous improvement, private equity resources for growth and professional development.
• Customer Experience: • Continuously refine and optimize the customer journey, from digital engagement to post-sale service, ensuring satisfaction on StarFire Direct's website, Amazon, and other channels. • Resolve complex customer service issues, driving loyalty and retention through outstanding support.
