The Project Controls Specialist plays a critical role in supporting Project Management, Accounting, and Finance by delivering accurate data, analysis and forecasts that inform decision-making. The role will plan and execute the cost and schedule control requirements for projects in coordination with the Project Management and Accounting team. The role analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the approved plan and communicates the reasons for variance and proposed mitigation plans to Project Management and Accounting.
The role require some travel.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
Assist in preparing and updating monthly and yearly forecasts.
Assist with analyzing and reporting project costs and progress using provided reporting tools.
Prepare and track invoices.
Submit monthly revenue and cost accruals to Accounts Receivable and Payable.
Prepare and analyze cost reports and regional financial reports.
Prepare risk registers.
Assist with monitoring and control cost.
Work interactively with project team members to accurately maintain & update cost and schedule.
Assist with reconciliation of all commitments and expenditures with financial controls.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or relevant years experience preferred
5+ years of Project Controls experience with experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong analytical skills to track and analyze project performance metrics, create reports, and communicate findings to stakeholders
Familiarity with earned value management principles
Collaboration and knowledge on work breakdown structures, critical path analysis, and risk management

Strong skills in Windows-based office software, especially Excel, and the aptitude to learn new computer systems
Experience with Power BI
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build a rapport with team members
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management with proven ability to meet deadlines
Ability to deal with a diverse group of all levels of management both internally and externally
