JOB TYPE: Full Time, 3-4 days in office per week
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our growing studio is looking for an organized and energetic procurement specialist with an interest in interior design. This individual will be responsible for order procurement, tracking, logistics, and accounting of products for our projects. In addition, they will be providing support to the design team and will work alongside the studio's Director of Operations. This role is an integral part of the process to realize bespoke residential interior design projects.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a small, rapidly growing studio. A candidate local to Boston, MA or the surrounding areas is required.
JOB QUALIFICATONS
Minimum 1-2 years of proven experience with product procurement is required
Note: furniture, retail, or interior design experience is a plus!
Proficiency in QuickBooks or Studio Designer (or similar accounting software) and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated problem solver with a strong focus on accuracy and meticulous follow-through
Friendly demeanor with a positive, can-do attitude
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate with vendors for product pricing, lead times, and to obtain quotes
Create client proposals and invoices, assist with billing tasks
Place orders for all products, including highly custom furnishings and cabinetry
Track orders from time of order to delivery with oversight from Director of Operations
Liaise with vendors and contractors to coordinate deliveries and installations
Create vendor purchase orders and payments
Communicate with firm's receiving warehouse to track product delivery, storage, and damage claims
Manage all warehouse invoices
Update client budgets and track client expenses
Sending bi-weekly product status updates to Director of Operations
Open trade accounts with new vendors
Order samples for client presentations and enter sample expenses into Studio Designer
Manage office supply inventory and place orders
Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Principal
Foster a positive and collaborative office environment by support the team and promoting collaboration
