Join our PetMeds/PetCareRX ("PETS") team as the Manager of Digital Merchandising and be a driving force in our digital retail success. Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional online shopping experience for pet parents? As the Manager of Digital Merchandising at PetMeds, you'll lead the strategy that shapes our eCommerce site and guide a small team of Merchandisers to ensure that our customers enjoy a seamless, engaging, and efficient experience every time they shop with us. You'll own the digital merchandising strategy for US Market, from go-to-market campaigns and messaging to managing user flows and optimizing product marketing
Working closely with our merchandising, marketing and digital teams, you'll transform financial investments in our product line into a comprehensive strategy that drives sales and delights our customers. You'll also work with UX, UI, and web production to execute the product team's vision and continuously evolve our digital platforms to create a shopping experience that keeps pet parents coming back!
This is a hybrid role. Must be able to commute to either our Delray Beach, FL or Lynbrook, NY corporate offices 3x per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate across teams: Partner with merchandising, creative, and web development to ensure the best possible online customer experience
Optimize landing pages: Influence and adjust homepage strategies to support calls-to-action (CTAs), drive storytelling, and enhance product discovery, funnel depth, and conversion
Elevate go-to-market experiences: Shape the customer journey from emails and paid media channels, ensuring smooth product discovery
New product launches: Build a best-in-class go-to-market process for delivering new products and collections
Oversee product content strategy: Partner with our Creative and Merchandising team to ensure product content are optimized for online shopping
Drive in-season updates: Adjust merchandising and marketing strategies based on inventory and sales trends
Ensure accuracy: Review product pages, photos, and descriptions before they go live, and make corrections as needed
Optimize site structure: Manage site taxonomy to drive conversion and maximize customer experience
Analyze performance: Generate reports, track key metrics, and share insights with stakeholders to enhance performance
Boost product recommendations: Manage intelligent upselling and cross-selling strategies, and continually A/B test for optimization
Support marketing: Help plan email, and other channel cadences and ensure messaging aligns with product and sales goals
Mentor team: Provide leadership, support, and guidance to a team of Digital Merchandisers, Product managers and Marketers to drive success
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
7+ years of experience in eCommerce merchandising, buying, or site experience, with at least 2 years managing a team
Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud
Proven ability to lead a small team to make big impacts, even with limited resources
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to implement strategies that meet brand and sales goals
Flexibility and a quick-learning attitude to navigate a constantly evolving digital landscape
Proficiency with tools like Microsoft Excel, ESP, search platforms, A/B testing, and site personalization
A BA or BS in Merchandising, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
