The Senior Director of Operations, Administration, and Finance (SDOAF) is a strategic leadership role within Eagles View Church (EVC), responsible for overseeing the church's day-to-day operations, administrative functions, financial management, and IT infrastructure. This position ensures the effective and efficient use of resources to support the church's mission and ministry goals. The SDOAF works under the supervision and direction of the Executive Pastor and collaborates closely with all members of the pastoral and ministry teams to align operational practices with the church's vision while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and stewardship.
General Responsibilities:
Ensure that accounting, employment, and operating practices and records meet or exceed Biblical precepts, accounting standards and applicable government regulations.
Ensure compliance with current government regulations and best practices that apply to religious organizations, church accounting records, government reporting, human resource management, insurance, facility operations, and sales and property taxes.
Safeguard the assets entrusted to EVC by proactively attending to matters of potential liability of the church or the pastors. Implement and maintain risk management practices in processing receipts, property and equipment operations, cyber security, human resources, and worker background checks and training.
Coordinate and communicate with EVC elders, directors, staff, volunteers, donors, vendors, bankers, insurance agents, real estate agents, CPA, attorneys, and government agencies on any matters involving finances, liabilities, tax, or legal business matters.
Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic initiatives to support the church's mission and vision.
Participate in high-level decision-making as part of the leadership team, offering insight on operational, financial, and IT matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
1). Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, including facilities management, IT infrastructure, and security protocols.
2). Ensure the church's physical campus and facilities are maintained, safe, and operationally ready for ministry events and activities.
3). Manage operational support teams (facilities, custodial, security) and ensure smooth logistics for worship services, events, and programs.
4) Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers
5) Ensure the church's technology solutions (e.g., church management software, financial systems, audio/visual technology, event and room scheduling) are effectively integrated and meet the needs of staff, congregants, and ministries.
6) Implement best practices for data security, cloud services, and digital communications
Administration and Human Resources:
1) Develop and implement efficient administrative policies and procedures to streamline operations across the church.
2). Administrate employee payroll and benefit processes and records, including retirement plans, vacation, workers compensation insurance
3). Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
4) Oversee administration of background checks and Preventing Sexual Misconduct policy training for staff and volunteers
5). Maintain all business registrations and certifications with government agencies.
6) Oversee the church's insurance policies, ensuring proper coverage and managing risk mitigation strategies.
7). Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, safety protocols, and risk management procedures.
Financial Management:
1). Provide leadership in all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the church.
2). Lead the annual process with the Staff and Church Directors to develop annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
3). Oversee financial reporting, auditing, and analysis to ensure transparency and accountability.
4) Ensure compliance with applicable laws and best practices related to church finances and non-profit organizations.
5). Manage cash flow, investments, and designated funds, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
6). Supervise bookkeeper, other related volunteers, and/or third party accounting support to ensure:
timely processing and accurate, functional GAAP financial records
producing appropriate monthly reports for Elders, Directors, and Staff.

monthly bank reconciliations
7). Implement and maintain good internal control procedures for counting and safeguarding cash and assets.
8). Manage and monitor church funds in corporate bank accounts (does not sign checks).Monitor and adjust credit card balances to ensure sufficient credit is available for everyday operations and upcoming major events.
9). Prepare corporate resolutions and coordinate w/directors, bank, and signers for account signers on all accounts.
10). Carefully review all contracts for services and advise Executive Pastor and Elders before execution of potential liabilities, unusual requirements and/or limitations in the contract. Communicate any contractual responsibilities to appropriate parties.
11). Know the terms of the Lionheart / EVC Partnership Agreement, review Lionheart financial reports and payments, ensuring accuracy of profit sharing per the terms of the contract
Facility Management
1). Oversee Facility Maintenance Manager and admin assistants related to all facility operations including scheduling, HVAC setting, storage, landscape, and exterior property.
2). Ensure that all contractors have contracts, waiver, insurance certificate as needed.
3). Oversee all required building and equipment inspections, licenses, and government reports.
4). Manage all capital construction and major repair or replacement projects
5). Oversee the church's overall event calendar, ensuring efficient scheduling and avoiding conflicts.
6). Work with ministry leaders and external groups to ensure that all facility usage aligns with church policies.
7). Serve as the primary point of contact for event scheduling, working with ministry leaders and external groups to ensure that all facility usage aligns with church policies.
8). Ensure collaboration amongst the ministry teams, maintenance, and custodial teams to ensure that spaces are prepared, set up, and cleaned for events.
9). Develop and implement procedures for requesting facility use, including contracts and agreements for external groups.
10) Liaison with Lionheart Academy and designated EVC ministry representative for facility coordination.
Fulfill other duties as needed or assigned by Executive Pastor.

Knowledge, Beliefs, Skills and Abilities Required
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and 8 years accounting/business management experience or
15 years accounting and business management experience, preferably non-profit
Experience to include organizational management, staff supervision and training, coordinating, and working well with other department managers
Significant experience as a church leader, volunteer, staff member, or other Christian non-profit organization
Non-profit and fund accounting knowledge and experience preferred
Knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, and financial software, prefer QuickBooks experience. Generally strong software skills.
Unquestioned integrity and a genuine, biblical servant attitude
Maintain confidentiality with staff, payroll and donor information and plans that are not yet public knowledge.
Maturity of character, discernment, and an ability to regularly handle confidential information
Possesses a "can-do" attitude and willingness to step-in to assist or lead when needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable and confident making presentations to church body, elders, and directors.
The ability to blend the business management function with the ministries of the church
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Ability to work in shared office space
Must be willing to work hard and laugh easily, help keep staff meetings on track, and work well with people whose giftings do not include administration.
Must be available on Sundays - be available for building or financial needs, assist at Guest Central, prepare money counter paperwork, be available for questions.
