Job Description: Cache Valley Electric is seeking a full-time (40+ hrs/wk) senior project manager/project executive to oversee and develop CVE's Water & Wastewater Department. This role is responsible for managing electrical teams, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in water and wastewater facility projects.
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to: • Lead and manage the electrical department, overseeing all aspects of electrical construction in water and wastewater facility projects • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with overall project plans • Develop and implement electrical construction strategies, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations • Prepare and manage project budgets, schedules, and financial performance of multiple projects simultaneously • Supervise, mentor, and build electrical teams, both in the field and in the office • Review electrical designs and specifications, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting to ensure adherence to all relevant codes and standards • Establish project objectives, policies, and procedures consistent with company policies • Monitor construction activities, progress, and resources in conjunction with on-site supervision and division management to keep project on schedule • Represent the company with owners, architectural and engineering design teams, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors • Prepare, submit, and track project documentation such as submittals, RFIs, change orders, and close out documentation, etc. • Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client • Practice and promote safe work practices
Successful candidates will have: • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical construction, specifically in water and wastewater facilities • Strong leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record of managing electrical construction teams • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to water and wastewater facilities. • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with field personnel, customers, vendors, and owners • Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions • Capable to independently make informed decisions and commitments within company parameters
