Here’s What You’ll Get to Do
Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty components to ensure continuous production processes.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
Repair and replace faulty components and equipment
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment according to established schedules.
Document all maintenance activities and repairs using a computerized maintenance management system
Comply with safety protocols and regulations while executing maintenance tasks.
Experience with CNC and PLC systems
Ability to understand and work from mechanical and electrical prints
Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Basic computer familiarity
Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment as needed
Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements to enhance technical skills.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members to address complex mechanical challenges.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for the maintenance electrician position, the following conditions must be met:
Perform work as assigned by supervisor
Read, understand, and communicate
Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively use a tape measure
Maintain a safe and clean work area
Must be at least 18 years old
Electrical and mechanical plant maintenance including the repair and installation of machinery and equipment as assigned and directed by supervisor
Troubleshoot to determine appropriate repairs including the replacement of defective parts
Assemble, install, test, and inspect machines and equipment as needed
Assist with the completion of all required preventative and routine maintenance of equipment and machinery
Assist in upgrading equipment including fabrication of parts
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other related technologies.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Proficient in using various hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies.
Ability to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight hours or more
Be able to lift up to 75lbs. while moving, climbing stairs and ladders as high as 100 feet, and work in confined spaces.
Ability to wear company-issued safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses and hearing protection
Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
Ability to work in varied temperatures
The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant. The Company, in an effort to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE.
While some chemicals may pose health risks if PPE is not properly used, employees are trained on the proper safety equipment and procedures for handling chemicals.
While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and the WCB, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company’s hazardous communication program.
