Intelligent Waves is seeking a Director of Marketing Communications to partner with the federal government sales and operations teams to drive the growth of our business. The Director of Marketing Communications will lead a broad set of marketing competencies, including content marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, media and analyst relations, market engagement and talent marketing.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Security Clearance: This role does not require a clearance.

Location: Hybrid (DC Metro)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate frequently with Intelligent Waves executives especially the COO and CSO to evaluate business priorities and translate them into our marketing strategy and plan

• Develop annual marketing strategies and plans including a year-round communication and production calendar focused on supporting the GOVCON market

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for marketing team members and works collaboratively with consultants responsible for various projects

• Develop effective marketing campaigns for the GOVCON market and create content that is both engaging and informative

• Understand current market trends across multiple market segments to build compelling marketing material across all mediums

• Research and develop new advertising and marketing streams for varied and evolving events, programs, and campaigns
• Manages and collaborates regarding the visual elements and artifacts of GOVCON related marketing materials, graphics, and the like
• Manage and develop the marketing repository for business development materials such as use cases, case studies, and white papers as required
• Ensure consistency and alignment of all company branding, messaging and best practices
• Manage the marketing budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree

• 15+ years experience working in Marketing, with at least 7 years experience in government contracting
• A passion for and strong understanding of the U.S. Federal Government
• Strong verbal and written communications, including the ability to write and present to executive audiences
• An ability to be highly collaborative, and work with a variety of people at all levels
• Proven leadership in running successful, integrated marketing teams

• Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
• Demonstratable products leveraging social media, search engine optimization, and other tactics to promote a companys products or services.

• Flexibility to travel, as needed
