A DAY IN THE LIFE
Enthalpy Analytical in San Diego, CA is currently seeking aPart-Time Laboratory Assistantto join our San Diego team of aquatic toxicologists. Enthalpy is a consulting laboratory focused on the analysis, integration, interpretation, validation, and application of high quality toxicity data.
Compensation: $17.00 - $19.00/hour
Schedule: Part-time (20-25 hours/week), Flexible Schedule Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm
As a key member of the laboratory team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:
Role and Responsibilities
Provides support for bioassay testing; assists technicians with whole effluent toxicity (WET) and sediment testing activities
Cleans and maintains glassware for lab operations
Prepares glassware and other materials for use in testing
Assists with general lab maintenance and cleaning
Assists with animal care and maintenance
Prepares and ships sampling kits to clients
Frequent microscopeuse for analysis of embryo development
Use of company vehicle for seawater collection and sample couriers
