Department Specific Skills and Duties
Participate in the development of care management principles for patients and families
Follows standing orders/protocols in assisting with patient care.
Cross coverage of patient care support staff as needed.
Supports a team approach to patient care, in coordination with division and clinic leadership.
Uses EMR to assist with patient care.
Responsible for handling urgent/emergent calls per approved advice protocols.
Actively coordinates care for patients as needed to meet sub-specialty specific best practice guidelines
Develop appropriate educational programs for patients, families, and healthcare providers to advance best practice care in specialty areas
Responsibilities
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
Associates Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
Current unencumbered Oregon RN License
Current BLS certifications from the American Heart Association required at time of hire
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accomodation
Qualifications
Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse Certification (CNRN) or other applicable advanced certification preferred
