Reports to the F&A Director. Responsible for all facets of IT for the center.
Essential Functions
Responsible for meeting the IT requirements of the corporate, Regional, and National offices.
Responsible for determining the appropriate use of software for students; prioritizes the purchase of software.
Responsible for network subscription for students’ use.
Establishes and maintains users’ accounts, such as Citrix and Center Information System (CIS).
Resets passwords for users’ Windows, Citrix, and CIS accounts as needed.
Keeps ID badge computer updated.
Maintains Job Corps Student Network Server and creates user accounts for all new students.
Installs Department of Labor (DOL)–approved software on staff’s and students’ computers upon request.
Keeps up with technology changes; recommends to management changes for improvement that would keep the center on the leading edge of technology; recommends computers and printers that will work best for the center.
Ensures all staff completes Security Awareness Training and Account Recertification.
Provides system training to new hires and all staff.
Models, mentors, and monitors the positive normative culture of the center.
Acts as a responsible custodian for the assigned center property.
Reports violations of ethical behavior.
Suggests opportunities for continuous operational improvement and reduction of waste.
Identifies and reports environmental health and safety concerns.

Requirements
Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science
Two years of computer experience; hardware, software, and security preferred
Certifications/Competencies
Knowledge of networking systems comparable to CIS, CMI, or other management information systems; knowledge of keeping these systems updated and working properly
Understanding of existing and emerging technologies
Ability to diagnose problems
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Ability to promote the Career Success Standards (CSS) by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students when necessary, and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions
Strong organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency
Minimum Eligibility Qualifications
If position requires driving, a valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required
I-9 documentation required to verify authorization to work in the United States
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background check
