Volt is hiring a CNC Machinist for our client located in Watertown, WI.
Position: CNC Machinist Location: Watertown, WI Shift: 3 PM - 1 AM (Monday to Thursday) with OT on Friday* Pay Rate: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour + $2.00 shift differential
*Compensation is based on experience, education, location, certifications, and specific job duties. What You'll Do: As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for operating precision equipment to craft high-quality components for crane systems. You will:
Operate Cutting-Edge Machinery: Work with CNC lathes, machining centers, and hobbing machines to produce parts like shafts, gears, drums, and other machined components.
Precision Interpretation: Read and interpret part drawings, ensuring specifications meet precise dimensional standards.
Monitor and Improve: Identify and report any variations in the process and collaborate with supervisors to resolve issues.
Tool Maintenance & First-Piece Inspections: Maintain tooling and conduct initial inspections, making adjustments as needed.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: 3+ years working with CNC lathes, and knowledge of tooling and shop practices. Prior experience with machinist tools and equipment is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to use hand tools, precision instruments, and interpret blueprints and work orders.
Setup Expertise: Previous experience in machine setup is required.
