Quickly and accurately sort and fold clean laundry by hand. Assist with check-in and check-out of employee uniforms. Clean the offices and restrooms in the Administration building. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sort high volume of laundry and operate laundry machinery to clean and sanitize clothes and linens used by the facility.
Load and unload machinery.Work safely using detergents, bleach, and other cleaning solutions to clean articles following company safety standards.
Sort and foldby hand all clean linens, towels, and uniforms.
Clean laundry machinery, filters, and vents regularly. Maintain clean and clear laundry workspace.Report any safety issues to management.
Sew and mend the facility's linens as necessary.
Maintain accurate inventory controls.
Follow established safe handling procedures for linens potentially contaminated by blood borne pathogens (BBP).
Maintain cleanliness of administration offices and restrooms regularly through vacuuming, sweeping, moping, dusting, wiping down fixtures, etc.
Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to your manager.
Perform such other related duties as directed or required.
SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
Strong sanitation habits.
Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
Ability to stand for the entire workday and to climb steps regularly.
Withstand temperature extremes in warehouse and laundry, especially laundry-area heat in summer months.
Work safely with chemicals including detergents and bleach.
Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English.
Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.

Commercial washer and dryer, rolling cart, broom, mop, vacuum cleaner, laundry soap, general cleaning supplies
Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used: goggles, latex and rubber gloves, rubber boots, apron, protective clothing covering exposed skin and wounds
