RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a Financial Fraud Analyst.

Summary:
The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Incumbents may perform all or most of the primary accountabilities listed below. Specific tasks or responsibilities will be documented in the incumbent's performance objectives as outlined by the incumbent's immediate supervisor or manager.

Responsibilities:


  • Assists in the timely and accurate preparation of annual operating plans

  • Provides support in compiling fiscal operating plan content, entering and analyzing the data and preparing presentation of the plan

  • Assists management with compliance by performing audits of various items

  • Provides monthly general ledger review, account reconciliation, research and submission of month-end entries to management

  • Coordinates monthly variance inquiries with appropriate personnel

  • Assists in the preparation of financial models and reports as needed

  • Assists in the preparation of financial analysis in support of forecasting and budgeting through income statement and GL analysis, etc.

  • May process purchase orders and invoices in accordance with company guidelines

  • Ensures deadlines are met on a timely basis

  • Performs other duties as assigned or apparent







REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Criminal Justice Systems, Accounting, or related field

  • Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire (properly credentialed to analyze and investigate situations involving fraud, per industry standards)

  • High School diploma/GED & 6 years of experience in investigations, fraud, and/or data analytics

  • 2 years of experience in investigations, fraud, and/or data analytics

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of student financial aid regulations and processes

  • Advanced Excel skills and basic knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Outlook

  • Experience conducting investigative interviews and writing comprehensive investigative reports

  • Experience analyzing IT data such as user activity reports

  • Ability & availability to work outside normal business hours, as needed, to conduct interviews, fulfill urgent ED/OIG requests, etc.

  • Working knowledge of systems, statistics, data analysis tools, and research techniques

  • Intermediate ability to apply analytical, computer, statistical, and quantitative problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with UOPX internal systems and operational processes

  • Familiarity with the laws & regulations which impact the business and educational environment

  • Familiarity with case management systems (i.e., NAVEX Global, etc.)

  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze company processes and procedures and regulatory information to inform/modify policies, procedures, or programs to ensure organizational compliance

  • Ability to de-escalate conflict while maintaining professional and demeanor

  • Ability to take initiative and confidently exercise personal discretion to make high-impact decisions

  • Ability to solve problems & effectively manage complex issues autonomously

  • Ability to effectively communicate with internally & external parties at all levels through graphic, written, and/or spreadsheet tools






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.



We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
